Public Holidays (Singapore, USA, China & Hong Kong) Nil Earnings Calendar This is a big week of earnings, especially when it involves the Big Tech.  I would pay close attention to Alphabet (Google), Microsoft, Apple and Amazon especially.   As per the CNBC news article dated 11th July 2022 (above), the Tech companies will have much impact on both the market and the USD due to their global footprint. For the automotive makers, General Motors & Ford are due to report their progress.  ExxonMobil and Chevron are due to update their earnings for the energy players.  Apart from these, pharmaceutical players of Pfizer, Merck and AbbVie are due to update too.  A close look at P&G will reveal how the typical household is spending to navigate in such circumstances. With the ending of 2022 Q2, let us take a look at the portfolios of the super investors.  Let us know and understand their biggest purchases and sales from Q1/2022. As always, I encourage all of us to do our own due diligence before investing.  As always, do not leverage, spend within your means and invest what you can afford to lose. Cloning of super investors? We should not blindly copy the trades of these super investors. I suggest that we use this list as a filter, from which we qualify each stock of interest.  Our homework will bring the necessary conviction and resolve - helping us to decide on buying, holding or selling at times of panic and euphoria.  As we each have different risk-reward tolerance, investing time horizons and different expertise with different sectors, let us be disciplined to invest within our domains (Charlie Munger & Warren Buffett would call this "circle of competence").   This list is only based on what is reported via the...

  Here are some investing ideas that were shared by MorningStar (published on 24 June 2022). The list details undervalued stocks with a wide moat. Morningstar rates moats by: network effects,   switching costs,   intangible assets,   size advantage.   These can be seen in the numbers via return on invested capital, margins, & market share. Remember, we cannot invest based on borrowed conviction. As always, please research before investing. Spend within your means and invest what you can afford to lose. Understand we may arrive at different measurements of fair value estimates.  I will still conduct a thorough fundamental analysis and enter using Technical Analysis.  I will probably look for an uptrend in their 1D chart using the MACD indicator.  The key is to buy great companies at good discounts.  We should consider the mix of portfolios.  Some of us may avoid being too heavily invested in a certain sector.
