Elon Musk and his quest for free speech

‌Tesla ‌is a sustainable business because it is green and is also self-sustained through the profits made. Regarding ‌Twitter, Tesla investors have expressed concerns that Elon may be dividing his attention and time between the different businesses. Will Elon be spreading himself too thin?  Hopefully, this distraction does not slow down the progress and development of various businesses.

However, most Tesla investors would be too familiar with both his brilliance and the volatility that he bring.  His passion had brought success and they would expect no less for the "new" Twitter business.  The recent news exposure has driven up both interest and user usage.

Tesla is an engineering marvel & case study and Twitter is a different beast in social media. Elon's experience with Giga press, 4680 batteries and production capacity does not seem to provide any relevant headstart.  Yet his cult-like status & faithful following should lend an edge as he ventures into the business of social media.  At this juncture, we can expect the close attention of other social media platforms.  Every tweet posted by Elon could trigger a dash for a nearby AED by the executives of Meta, Snapchat and TikTok.

Elon is one of the most popular users on Twitter.  His tweets have more impact on the stock market than most influencers and world leaders.  Twitter looks to be a move driven more by his ideology (and absolutist stand) of free speech than economical returns.

As per the news,

"Elon does not care about the economics of buying Twitter."

A $41 billion bounty has been placed on the table to close the deal.  Some mentioned that it is about the edit button but we know that it is probably that and more so the first amendment.

First amendment - freedom of speech

From the sideline, it looks pointless for the Twitter board to challenge a man who is willing to burn through billions for his ideologyCurrently, it is still an offer.  Test Elon's patience and it could end up being a (hostile) takeover as hell is unleashed by Elon's influence and his army of Twitter warriors.  As a certain "sage" Russell Peters has advised us, "Just take it (the money) and go".

Russell Peters ... take it and go

Twitter will experience volatility till things are worked out by both sidesFor those who have invested in Twitter, we can definitely expect a social media revolution.  Given Elon's track record, he always delivers and all he needs is support and time.
