48 years later (22 May 2023)

48 years later, you wake up and appreciate that you have been blessed beyond measure, with many things that seemed undeserved.

Life has dished her share of ups and downs but there is so much more to be thankful for.

Let us be thankful to be alive, and grateful to be doing life with family, friends, colleagues, ex-colleagues, partners, business associates, acquaintances and a few enemies. For YOU who braved heaven & hell to redeem this hopeless soul, help me live worthy. A shout out to my wife and kids who have triumphed in a family less than perfect, more than messy and enough to drive you up the walls of China. I owed too much to my parents & family who love me (by choice or the lack of it). All these stem from a man who still dreams, and who believes that one can make a difference.

In my daily living, I have been humbled by immense talents, generosity, love and kindness constantly.

To my friends who have struggled with days of darkness, and endured nights of despair, I thank you for not giving up. The night may be long but dawn marks another chapter, another victory. I would never understand the weight that ensnares you but let us journey together. Another day, another time, another hope.

Life is worth living when we no longer live for merely ourselves.

With all that I have learnt, the gap between what I know and my life remains wide. On a good day, I managed to narrow this gap and on some days, the widening gaps screamed back at me. Music, food & travel are my “weapons” of choice. To my music family, thanks for your kind indulgence. Let us rock out again, soon. Let us consider reducing our digital footprint and having more “analogue” time together.
