These are some of the earnings for the coming week starting 14 March 2022. 

Personally, I am looking with interest for Gamestop, Accenture PLC & FedEx.  The figures from FedEx is vital for me, a supply chain professional.  The war and recent fuel price surges are expected to add complications and costs to the global supply chain.  The costs should hit our pockets over the coming weeks.  Biden Administration is taking action against ocean shipping players as per their announcement in early March 2022. 


Performance of US market (by sectors) as per 11 Mar 2022

Macro events like the Ukraine conflict and the interest rate announcement on 16 Mar 2022 will weigh heavy on the market.  As per the 11 Mar 2022, all sectors ended the week in red in lieu of these.  Thus, it is not an issue with a few companies or sectors but driven by a (more) market-wide sentiment.


From technicals, the downtrend for S&P500 is expected to continue into the week.  It is prudent to watch and observe. If we have done research in the companies, we should avoid selling in panic.  Let us invest with what we have, avoiding margin or leverage wherever possible.  Let us research before investing.

Technical Analysis Exercise (12Apr2022) This is looking at charts based on technical analysis of their 1D chart.  It is strongly recommended to conduct fundamental analysis before we conduct any technical analysis . Abbreviation  (based on 1D chart) MA = Moving Average MA50 = Moving Average 50 days (short term trend) MA200 = Moving Average 200 days (longer-term trend) Being prudent, I will give preference MACD indicator for the following logic:  I will rather be late than too early.  I may get lesser profits but I could (potentially) avoid a bigger loss (entering too early and catching a falling knife).   One of the factors influencing my decision will be the Beta of the stock (above 1 being more volatile).  If the stock is more volatile, I may consider leaning more on stochastic than MACD.  As per my previous article, MACD is giving a much more reliable signal than Stochastic .
